What to do now!!!!!!!
AS WE GET OLDER ...THINGS CHANGE........(the Boss) now wants to do some camping with the Scoot....GREAT.With this revelation I am now looking for a Bushtec Roadstar trailer and hitch....but wait we will be adding all this extra weight,is the motor and trans going to pull the approx 250 lbs extra....I just don't know.Here is the Great QUESTION FOR ALL THE EXPERTS.My ride is an 06 street glide...stage 1 with Rineharts(duel) i have added a HQ 0039 cam and the black ops lifters(chain driven) bike does 78/80 and has pretty good power.I know that if I do a 95/98 build i can increase it to 100/100,or spend the extra and do the 113/117 build and have a great touring platform....I'd like to say money isnt a problem buttttttttt...have a budget of 2700/3200.What should I do to make RELIABLE hp and pull this trailer and the Boss across our great nation.Tuner is a (sert)Thanks for any input.

Well you won't get a 113 done for that kind of $, but a BB & some mild head work with .030 head gaskets should give you enough power to pull that much weight around, make sure you get a expert tune.

I wouldn't pull a trailer even if I got paid well to do it,especially with my wife on the bike.Too many morons on the road for me to give up maneuverability.Heard too many stories of things gone bad...

Lots of guys pulling trailers here,maybe they will chime with good advise.

Well thanks for the replies ...Moma loves to be a passenger...Toyhauler requires a better truck than I have....Riding a cycle with all the cagers is ..VERY Dangerous ...So what is a guy to do ???? Figured a trailer would haul the gear better than pil'in it up on the scoot....more power is always nice.Lets hear more suggestions please.
