Default Gear Drive

How many with 2009 -2011 baggers with just simple Stage I upgrades have, or intend to change chain cam tensioners to gear drive?

IMO with the new hydraulic setup in the newer bikes it doesn't make much sense to go to gears. With the spring loaded tensioners in the earlier models people would go with gears to get away from the spring loaded tensioners.

I agree completely with Petemac. In addition, I doubt there are many '09-'11 twin cams running less than .003 runout on the crank. This is the common limit to run gear drive cams.

If this is the case, (runout) there must be thousands of scored oil pumps?

Why would you want to? The new system is bulletproof, and you don't need to mess with setup, worry about runout, or deal with the whine, and it'll last up to 70K miles!
Seems Harley finally got it right after 100 years.

Yep. What bigzed said. Mine had only 500 miles on it when the build was done. Crank was out 003.
