Any one run this combination?
I'm looking to install cams in my factory 103. The 255's seem to fit my needs.
Almost all power under 4000-4500 rpm. Just looking for good all around performance for normal riding and 2up.

These cams are (i think) really great cams. If you are looking for good low to mid range pull. My buddy did the 103 upgrade w/ these, and they pull pretty damn good. If you want to drag race, I am sure there are better choices.
For 2 up and no need to down shift to pass, they fit the bill for most. By all means, it's a touring bike, not a crotch rocket. You will if not already have to upgrade a/c, and turner is not already done.I see that you have the pipes and headers already. Just my thoughts, I am sure others will like & dislike these cams. But only you can make that choice.
Good luck,

I love my 255's in my 96" and with the riding style your describing you may be real happy with them too! However, the added bit of compression of the 103" opens the door to other choices. I'm no cam expert, so I'll let those who know way more than me chime in!
I just had the 255's put in my Limited. There is a noticeable difference when you "get into it" but I am not overwhelmed by the speed or as impressed as I expected to be. Having said that however, it is probably plenty enough for the average rider like me who does not ride fast very much anyway.

WHen you say speed, are you talking acceleration or top end?
I just did mine and it pulls hard till 4500 then kinda falls my last bike had a 103 with se heads and 260 cams it pulled all the way to 6000 felt great! Just by 2 cents i might change mine
I dont run that combo but I have installed those cams before and they do give you a little more than stock. I understand not wanting to do some head work but for the $ if you are already taking that stuff apart its only a little more to take it down the rest of the way. I have done some cam swaps where we told the customer what to expect and when he got exactly what we told him he would get he was dissapointed.
Put them in my wife's trike (dealer download, could get more with a tuner, but she is not a gear head). Made a huge difference. RPM's rarely reach 4000 so it was a good fit for her. The stock trike is a slug, so anything helps.
