Got a buddy of mine that did a lof of homework on this. This kit is made for motorcycles. It has smaller ballast then the other kits.
It comes with a 15 yr warranty. He got the 6000 watt kit.
We installed it tonite. Man all I can say is its super brite. I want one for my bike. Nite blindness will be gone with this headlight. And its legal.
Its super easy to install . Plug and play
I need kit #2
Ok, 1st off. It's a 6k bulb color kit. It's 35w. 2nd, the kits are $40 shipped on ebay and they are the EXACT same thing over and over. 99% are the same kit. Buy a few and you'll find out quickly. I've put them in everything and for the most part they are very reliable. They are now down to the cost of good halogen replacement bulbs and no harder to install. Seriously, a monkey could do this.
Eventually, you'll get into doing these in one off housings that no bulb matches. This way you can play with bulb placement and beam pattern. Where that bulb sits in the housing plays a big part in the beam pattern an cut off....to an extent.
This kit is the slim digital ballast. I prefer them. The fatter ballast is just as good but bulkier and a couple bucks cheaper.
As far wiring goes, just match up your bulb and it's plug and play. Sometimes you need a relay to give even power on start-up.
The running lamps on my bike has a 881L bulb in it. I got on the internet and found out you can use a 894 bulb. So we went to Auto Zone and got a pair of 894 clear tip bulbs,
They are brighter and worked great and it was cheap.
