Default 2009 head pipe vs 2010/2011 head pipe

Is a 2010/2011 head pipe that has had the cat gutted from it the same header pipe as a 2009?

So in other words a 2010/2011 bike with a gutted cat should sound and have same noise level as a 2009 bike?

Pretty close, but I believe they also relocated O2 sensors w/'10-'11's. Other than that - they should be same...

Not the exact same. The difference is O2 sensor size and location.

Yes, the 2009 models have different size O2 sensors. If you use a 2009 head pipe with your Auto-Tune, remember to get the model for the 2009 head pipe so the O2 sensors will fit.

Other than the o2 sensors is the pipe the same though? A 2010/11 pipe is a 2009 pipe structure wise just with a cat stuffed in there?

Ok sounds good...I just got a 2010 headpipe without the cat in it, just wondering what sound I should expect with the stock mufflers, my guess is like a 2009 Road King that has the stock setup?

Should be identical on sound as long as the 09 is not a California bike. Their 09's had the cat.

Thanks James! My guess is maybe a tad bit louder without the cat in there, will be going on my 2011 (2010 head pipe, no cat)

My guess would be that it will be some what louder as the 2011 OEM mufflers would be less restrictive to allow for better flow with the cat.

I have a set of both 2009 and 2011 and there is with out a doubt a different baffle design with more perforation in the 2011.
