When I bought my bike in May of '09 we had the rainiest summer I've seen in a long time.

People were saying I was jinxed and caused the rain when I bought it! This summer was much better, in fact too dry.

You could invest in a rainsuit. Your bike won't melt (unless it's a sportster).

Nothing like getting out on the highway, setting the cruise control, leaning back on the backrest, and putting your feet up on the highway pegs! Don't get much better than that!

First off no need to be an jerk! I ride 60 highway miles one way to work all highway and its not being ridden in the rain right now because I got it a week ago and am not totally comfortable yet. I can take being ribbed but you are just a plain *** talking about things you know nothing about!

Good, I thought the same thing when I read his dumb a$$ post! BTW..........yes the highway pegs are worth it, once you have them you'll wonder how and why you didn't have them before!

Who needs pegs when you have great floorboards and if you are smart get the floorboard extensions ! Those are great, on tourers you have many different posistions to do with those great floorbaords , do not need pegs!

For those long rides it really helps to shift the seating position - just like in a car. After 4 or 5 hours in the saddle it really helps.
