do you think it would be a good idea to put a vapor barrier down on the concrete (#15lb black roofing paper) and park your bike on that so moisture don't come up on the bike it is a cold damp garage

8X4 sheet of plywood works great. Cover with a flannel sheet. I used to keep my bike in my garage also cold and damp. Now I keep it in the trailer away from the snow blower and shovels. Also use a dessicant to suck up moisture.

I use a couple pieces of carpet to park the bike on. Figure a little softer on the tires when sitting for a while.

I use a 25 watt light bulb in a metal shaded trouble light under mine with the cover on. Air temp changes cause sweating problems in my garage more than moisture in the floor. Mine stays nice and dry now.

I use a piece of 2" Styrofoam insulation under each wheel....
also put wood blocking under stand to keep it more upright.
Cover bike with a cotton sheet, check battery tender regularly
to insure its working properly.

I put my bike up on some Race Decking that I got from J&P Cycles. Keeps it off the concrete and away from melting snow from the car.

I believe it's a good idea to keep the tires off the cement for extended periods of time.
I have had tires flat spot because of this.

I also use a fan to blow on the bike to keep mositure from condensating on it and rusting out some parts.
