Default Need Gift Ideas...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! As we all now, the Christmas shopping insanity begins tomorrow. I need some input from you experienced riders. My family is bugging me for Christmas gift ideas. While I would love to put chrome rims, a tour pack and a BB build on my Christmas list, I have to stay realistic and keep it under the ~$50.00 mark. What are some goodies that you have seen in that price range that you would want? Doesn't need to be "Harley" brand stuff (don't think they sell anything under $100 anyway), but touring specific. Thanks in advance.

OR a $100 gift certificate! Get enought of those things and you'll be able to put down a sizeable chunk towards the bigger purchases.

Was wanting to get some more specific ideas, but I think that sums it up. I would like to know where you can find a motorcycle specific GPS for $50 though.

</thread> I guess?

I like gift cards and tools. Good luck with the $50 GPS.

No need for the GPS to be motorcycle specific. Been using my "stone age" (I think this is the one Fred & Wilma Flintstone used!) Garmin c330 on my bike for years without an issue. Just keep a ziplock sandwich bag handy in case of rain!

Also, floorboard extentions are a nice add on for about $50.00!

I'm not real particular about motorcycle specific on many items, GPS being one of them. I bought a Garmin for $40 at Walmart it works fine. I made a bar mount from an old clamp I had. I only use it in unfamiliar areas and if its raining I'll keep it in the tour pack, stop and pull it out if I need directions and put it away again.
Would be helpful to know what model/year of bike you have. Also what you already have and what you might want.
There are several accessories for under $100. Here are a few more ideas: floorboard extensions, wind baffle that fits between the forks, bag organizers, heat shields, valve stems, lowering kit, battery tender, push button fuel door, horn cover, derby cover, highway pegs, mounts for highway pegs, gremlin bell, leather covers the grips or clutch and brake levers, seat cover/pad, shaving kit, fringe/tassels, face mask, jack, ear plugs, MP3 player, music downloads, cargo straps, bungee net, saddle bag liners, J&P gold club membership, museum (or other event) tickets.
