Cool Help with Handle Bars

Help with Handle Bars please.

The Bike is a 2005 Ultra Classic and I'm looking for some new bars which would be a the same height as stock but moved towards me by 1 inch or say 1.5 inches.

Yes, I know Harley do a set of reach bars for the bike but what are the alternatives and has any one got any pics of the alternatives fitted to a Ultra?

Any info gratefully recivied.

Markie.

I just installed a set of WO575s. Since I had never changed bars on a bike with a fairing or installed the wiring internally, it was a learning experience. Two things I found after installing the bars are:

1) The new Avon grips I bought hang off the end of the bar on the left side. Because the Wild One bars step up to from 1" to 1 1/4", I can't push the clutch lever housing/controls/grip any further onto the bars. I think I can insert a 1" dowel into the end of the bars to support the soft grip and fix this problem. The throttle side has a tiny bit of back-and-forth slop on the bar, but the throttle works fine. I believe these grips are a little longer than the stock grips.

2) I think I might like them a little better if they were slightly less wide. You have a couple of extra inches on each side. The Harley pull back bars have a width similar to the stock bars, but I've read that for some people the wrist angle is bad with these bars. I've never had them so I can't say.

All in all, I like the Wild One bars very well. It took a while to get used to them after riding for 1 1/2 years with the stock bars, but the more I ride with them, the more I like them.

Compared to stock bars, what is the wrist angle like on the KW Sweepers or the WO 575s? I'm looking for some that will turn the wrist out more.

Go HERE for great pics to answer your question.

For actual users answers, the Sweepers have a fantastic feel IMHO, They are wider and straighter than stock so my hands do not fall asleep anymore and the riding position is much more natural and un-contorted.
