Instrument Lights
Ive got a 2009 Ultra Classic that Ive put 34,000 miles on since I bought it in May, now Ive noticed after I ride through a rain or it sits in the parking lot and get rained on when I turn the switch on , all of the gauges peg out for a few seconds and all of the dash lights come on then go off, also noticed a red "P" light now comes on at various times andmay stay on for a while or go out immediately. Any of you guys ever seen this happen ?

I have seen a couple threads about this, usually occured after a wash or rain. Sounda like a wet connection in those threads. May also want to check your battery, I have had a couple cars with gauges pegging out when the battery was on the way out.

It all makes since to me now, My limited did that last month after I got it back from the dealer for a new rear tire. They always wash the bike after any service work, so it was a more then likely a wet coonection. I thought the dealer had downloaded an update to the ECM that added a new feature. It was pretty cool, then it went away. I asked the service manager and he looked at me like I was crazy. I was beginning to think I was.
