I live in Michigan and have a three car attached garage that is not heated. It is insulated however. Have never had anything freeze in the garage. Probably would not store paint inside just to be safe..

My polish, wax etc., is always inside. Rest of the Stuff stays in the garage. No problems with our midwestern winters.

I don't bring anything in the house. Everything survives frigid temps just fine.

I never move anything out of the garage in the winter. Coldest temperature I've ever recorded at my house is 36 degrees. Very seldom does it get down to 40 degrees. I think I'm good with the liquids in the garage.

I bring in anything that is not oil based (stains and Poly usually stay in the garage). Wood glue, car wash stuff, etc come inside. I have an insulated garage that is heated when I work out there. I don't like things freezing and thawing all the time.

Not in the winter, but I do bring in that stuff during the summers here in PHX.

Never needed to as I doubt our garage every gets down to freezing. Probably doesn't get below 45.
