I have the 575s and like them very well. For the rest of you guys that have them, I have a question. I put some Avon grips on when I installed the 575s and even with the clutch and control housing pushed as far as possible onto the bars, my left grip hangs off the end of the bar enough to have some wiggle at the end. Has anyone else had this issue? I think the stock grips would have worked fine because they are a little shorter than the Avons. I also wonder if other Harley grips would have fit better?

lionsm13 gave me the answer to this question. If you go with the 575s, they are designed for stock length grips. Some grips, like the Avons I got, are longer and will hang off the end of the left bar a little. If the grips are soft and pliable, you will get some movement at the end of the grip. In order to avoid this, the grips either need to be fairly rigid or near stock length.

Just a piece of info that might be helpful if you go with the 575s.

I love the 575 bars on mine. The pullback is great, love the larger diameter (internal wired everything including my Garmin wires), and you might want to check material on H-D bars. I'm not sure they're chrome.

The 575"s are from Wild One Chubbys. if you put these on you'll need a +4 clutch cable as well. Like I said in my post they really do feel great. In fact we installed a set on a friends 06 SG this Friday and have another set going on an 08 probably next week when his chrome clutch cable get here. The 06 bike was quite a job considering it was an older bike but but we got her done, new throttle cables and all. Looks great. And yes your switch wires will have to be run internally as there is no groove for the wires only the holes to run the wires internally. On the 08 removing the wires from the connector was a bear but do able. In fact on the Wild One web site they have a video on how to do it. I'm guessing the 09 has the same connector. It really cleans up the area.

We just put 575's on this weekend with Avon grips. Your right the left one is very pliable on the end and in the future will either become fatigued and the rubber will split or it will just stay bent to some degree. The right one is solid on the end. What we did was to remove the chrome ring on the left side where it meets the switch housing and then slid the grip into the switch housing and clamped the switch housing on it. It looks like the "No Glue" grips on the newer bikes. It went all the way on and the chrome ring is not missed against the already chrome switch housing in this case. I hope this answers your question.

I guess it depends on the individual...i have severe R/A and my hands go numb with the stock bars but not with the HD 2" pullbacks...I took a 1500 mile trip recently and felt good...I want to look at mini apes or Chubbys... i will sit on some other bikes to try different ones ...

got my 09 Ultra torn apart right now waiting for the Hd 2" to come in. Almost bought the WO 575 or the Kromewerks, both looked great. Decided that I really want is 2" closer not necessarily higher to stay behind the fairing. Went back and forth many times that's for sure. The install instructions on the HD +2 refers to the them as chrome and someone on one of the threads said they were chome so I'll find out this week. My internal wiring came out easily even with my heated grips and looks like it should be a snap to get back in.

For those who installed the HD +2s and used the stock clutch cable, how did you manage that? Looks to me that to do that I will have to reroute it outside of the fairing which I'm not sure I want to do, but on the other hand not in the mood to run the +2 clutch cable routing and everything involved in getting it in the transmission. thanks!
