I have been looking around for a new exhaust system. I am wanting to go with a 2 into1 and I know there are many options out there. I was just wanting to see what some of you guys out there have to say about running a 2 into 1
i'm using the new version of the vance & hines pro pipe. i am very happy with the quality of the welds, chroming, everything about the pipe setup, but especially happy with the big increase in torque throughout the band. it's got a gnarly growl when you romp on the throttle, but isn't annoying at all to ride all day long at cruising rpm's = very stereo friendly. i know that it sure flows great and is a huge improvement on the rinehart slip ons i had on the stock headers. 08 streetglide by the way.
I've got the D&D Fatcat on my 10 SG and I love it. I'm having my Dyno done in a couple of days, so I don't know official numbers, but I notice a substantial difference in low end torque with just the pipe and SE stage 1 air cleaner (converted to K&N filter though). I got the quiet baffle and, while it's still loud, it actually mellows out at cruising speeds and doesn't completely drown out the radio. The only negative is that, regardless of what the manufacturer says, you do need at least a base map loaded, if not a full dyno, for the best performance.
Researching exhausts will drive you nuts! I picked 3 different pipes before settling on the Bassani Road Rage. I love this pipe and highly recommend it for it's performance, sound, and good looks. What you will find is that we all recommend the pipe that we are currently running. Happy researching, it's part of the fun for me!
V&H Pro Pipe. $600 retail, but you can find them cheaper than that. In my opinion, it has a sound like no other and I like that. Do all you can to hear what other bikes sound like before you buy - if you're like me, you only want to buy ONCE.
Havent used Jaime yet but his rep is impeccable. Here is the link, you might look at the 107 kit he just came out with too, some impressive numbers being posted. Also see you are new on this forum, the search function is a good tool, I use it a lot before buying anything or doing mods.
