My V&H Monster Rounds are starting to wear on me during long rides. I have a 2010 Ultra Limited with a Stage 1 and Vance & Hines Power Duals. Does anyone know if the HD Screaming Eagle Mufflers interchangeable? Fit wise is what I am wondering about.

Thanks
I have the Vance & Hines Power Duals headers hooked to the Screamin' Eagle Street Performance mufflers. The German H-D mechanic that did the install said he was very impressed with how well they fit together and how they sounded.
Well I picked up a set of SE with the slash. I am headed on a 600 mile trip Friday and sure would like to try them out. Anyone have thought on how much they should affect the current tune? I'm sure they are more restrictive, but just how much?
It must be me. I can just about hear my Monster Rounds on the Hwy, but then again I don't use my windshield very often. I would shift by sound with my Fatboy w V&H Bigshots, but with the Monster Rounds, I do it by vibration.
I ride with a half helmet and they're still quiet.
Good luck with the SE Slipons. You're not the first one I heard complain.
At 57, maybe my hearing is shot.

What tuner are you using? Just do a map change. Unless you had it Dyno tuned.
If you're using a canned map, it probably won't be any different. A little richer if anything.
I purchased Monster Ovals (same sound as Monster Rounds) a few weeks ago, and listed them "for sale" within 2 days. The deep resonance was just unbearable with my 3/4 helmet. Ironically, they sounded fantastic to me with my 1/2 helmet on, but the 3/4 or full created a resonance that I couldn't take AT ALL.
So I took a hit of about $225 on the MO's, and went out and purchased new Screamin' Eagle Performance slip-ons. Over the past 2 weeks and few hundred miles, they've broken in nicely and have a very nice sound to them. Stock headers, so YMMV.
I'd like to hear what you think about the new ones when you get them on. I'd like to have something different than stock, but I DON'T want anything louder again, ever.....So I am looking for something quiet myself.
