That's great. But seeing that we all riding a motor built for torque and not horsepower, I wouldn't do that too many times if I were you.
With a red line of, what, 5,600 rpm or so tops, you be better off beating high speeds out of a bike that's built for it, like an R6 and its 16,000 or whatever rpm red line.
My personal thoughts with a Harley are ... old tradition/old design ... old speed limits.
Oh, here we go....now everyone come out and caution him not to ride his bike too fast....Come on, you know you want to, you nancyboys. Show your true colors! Pound home the fact that if he rides into the triple digits his motor will fall apart and he will befall a horrible fate of shame and dishonor forever!!!!!
drop it down in 5th...might go a little faster. hope you were wearing a helmet and all aproppriate safety gear(nancyboys happy?). the rev limiter should keep you from hurting the engine.
I hit over 110 just about every time I take my bike out. (country roads) My rev limiter is at 6500, not worried about hurting it at all. If something breaks i'll fix it, pretty simple.
Wow 110 in third gear.I had mine at 120 in fifth and it was at 5200 rpm's I ran out of road before i hit sixth and ran out of nerves.Thats fast enough on a bike never designed to do that and my normal riding is 70 mph.
