Default Saddle bag guard kit?

Will a kit from a 2005 FLHT fit a 2010 FLHR. The bags look the same, but are the mounts? I found a set that a fellow removed and now want to sell them. Thanks

Don't believe the bag guards ever changed so shouldn't be a problem. I presume you are talking about the leather looking ones that snap onto the guards?

The ones Im looking at are the chrome tubes/rails that rap around the bags to offer protection to the bags. As per pic.

The 2010 would require the rail kit bearing the -09 pn# and the 05 uses the -93 kit

So they wont fit? Do you know where the differance is. The ones I found are a good deal and if it means redrilling a hole or something simple I would try to make them fit. Thanks

I Just completed the installation of the dual rail kit on my 2010 FLHTK. I can confirm HD changed this kit in 2009, so any rails built prior will not fit your bike.

For future reference, you can check HD's website P&A catalog for fitment information or the paper catalog. Both show that there are different kits for '09 and newer bikes, and '97-08 bikes. Also, the website often provides pdf files of the installation instructions with pictures showing how to install the accessories. These are the instructions for the guard rail kits:
