Default 2010 103 Limited vibration

I've been riding a Victory Vision for the past 2 yrs, but I don't remember my old 97 FLHTC vibrating like my new 2010 Limited. Which now has 2,800 miles and parked for the winter

Cruising at about 55 MPH in 5th my eyes become blurry from the vibes. Kicking into 6th and the problem is gone until the revs are up and running about 65 MPH.

Had the bike checked over and nothing found. An Indy shop I was talking to suggested replacing the bottom motor mount with Velva mount. I can't see the need to do this, but I'm willing to try it.

Oh, and I have no warranty as this is a US model bike owned by a Canadian. So I don't want to just start throwing money for nothing at it.
thanks

My FLTRX is like silk. Where do you feel the vibrations? Feet? Arms? Seat?

And please excuse me in advance if this sounds like a stupid question. Are you riding with a new helmet? I ask because the dealer often tosses one in with the new ride. Got a new Dyna in 2007 and knew it was going to be a shaker, but like you I could barely see road signs. A riding buddy said it was smooth. Turned out to be the helmet. Didn't feel like it was buffeting, but must have been. Changed helmets and no more blurry vision. Something to consider anyway.

Something's not right, but I'd hesitate to just start swapping out parts hoping to fix it. It's kind of an expensive way to fix something. Installing the velva mount won't hurt anything, but it might not fix the problem, either.

Had a Velva and didn't like it. Now have (5000 miles) a Glide-Pro. Much nicer.

I have a 2010 Limited also and experience some vibration about 3000 RPM up in any gear. I took it in and mechanic tightened some bolts underneath that hold the left side exhaust crossover pipe. He said he doubted it had anything to do with the vibration, but it felt normal to him. Don't know what all he tightened, but my vibration is gone. He also said to keep a check on those bolts as they do tend to loosen up. He had a 2010 ultra classic he was working on at the time and the Six Speed cover on the right side had loose bolts and one was missing. It also does sound like your helmet is picking up the harmonic vibration and not necessarily buffeting from the wind.

No vibration issues here.

Have you asked different dealers about the warranty? I'm not positive but I bet there are shops in Canada that would be happy to do warranty work on your bike as long as the moco agreed to cover it.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I don't see it being the helmet, as the blurry vision disappears with an upshift. The Indy found the transmission cover bolts loose that hold the exhaust bracket, while doing the winter lay up. I've also asked him to go over everything while he has it to make sure alignment, mounts and bolts are all to spec.
Do you think the bike is just tight and needs more miles?

I have over 18,000 km on mine and I don't remember any vibe problems even during break-in. I know I stepped up from a solid-mounted evo, but I'm sure I would have noticed an RPM-specific vibe.

Hopefully your indy has it resolved.

Over 10,000 miles on my 2010 Ultra Classic Limited and no excess vibration. I would take it back to the dealer you bought it from and have it checked out. If you bought the bike new any dealer should honor the two year warranty.
