Question Best wheel cleaner?
Anyone know what works best on the factory 2011 FLHX aluminum wheels?

Can't really tell if they are clear coated or not. Looking for something that will clean the outer rim where there is no paint, just "Bare" aluminum.

S100 works on anything within reason but surely there is cheaper stuff that works just as well.

I agree with S100. I've also used car wash soap with good results.

I have similiar wheels. I use Mothers Aluminum Polish and a small buffing pad on the dremel tool. After buffing them out, I put a good coat of Liquid Ice Wax on the wheels. The outer edge looks like chrome now.

honestly.. the best! is shout. same stuff you use on your clothing with stains. works awesome!

After riding metrics for 40 odd years with uncoated aluminum wheels (my latest Harley has same type rim) I have used every polish on market to keep them shining like chrome. Worlds Best Metal Polish by Satin Gloss is by far easier to apply and holds shine longer than anyother out there. Believe me I've tried them all and anytime a new one hits the shelves you can bet I will purchase it (always looking for that magical no work shine)

I gave up after a year of hassle with the dull wheels on my 09 and did a chrome exchange. Chrome is the only "magical no hassle" shine there is...
