Looks finished. It's on page 406 in the new catalog. Man, my bike looks filthy next to yours. Oh wait, my bike IS filthy.
Well, you put 200 miles on it today. It's cold here that's why mine's in the garage. Hope to ride some tomorrow before another cold front moves in tomorrow night. I'm ready to go to Florida...
I just had the dealer install a set of heritage style bars on my 2004 RKC. The bars are higher but more narrow. Either way, it is a big difference and for the better. Hope it warms up so I can ride. 30s is just too cold.
Gotta get new bars on the RK's. That was one of the first mods I did to mine. I ended up with Wild One 508's, never been happier. All of my friends who ask about opinions about which Harley model, I (obviously) speak highly of the RK...except for the damn bars. Congrats, Sir.
Thanks. So far, the Heritage style bars are a big improvement over stock. Spent the day hiking, so won't log some serious miles 'til tomorrow.
I like the 518s too, and the 508s look similar.
508's and 518's are similar, but the 518's are wider. I think my 508's give a bit of the "wheelbarrow" feeling, but they are very comfortable for me with the pull-back and reach. Their customer service was great over the phone and they were able to tell me everything that was needed for the install. I had the stealer do it for me (I was scared to get into the TBW electronics), and did NOT need new cables, the stockers were long enough. Good luck to those who are still shopping for the right bars, this is a tough decision (although NECESSARY if on a King!).
