I replaced the stock bars and grips on my RK with Heritage style bars and HD chrome & rubber grips. Had to test them out, so put in just over 200 miles today. I like the new bars much better - a little taller and a little more pull-back. They feel a wee bit wider too.
The new grips took a few miles to get used to. The throttle moves easier under my hand. The first few bumps caused a slight acceleration.
Looking forward to more miles over the weekend. Maybe I'll break out the camera too...
I put the Heritage bars on mine too. I went with the kuryakyn Flame grips. I've been raising and lowering mine trying to get the right feel. They feel great being higher and back farther and wider. Did you raise your's level or lower them down some like you see mine in this pic.
Ron, I think yours are pulled back a little farther than mine. I only adjusted them once... so far.
Quick shot in the garage.
I think you are right. Mine are a little lower than your's. I've seen them raised to where the grip section is level. These were on a bike at the Dealer. If I lowered mine anymore, they would hit the console on a full turn. I just a cover over my fork lock housing. looks good i think. Going to the Garage, I'll post another pic.

Yeah, that cover looks good... where'd ya' get it?
Bought it from the Dealer. Couldn't believe it was 50 bucks, but had to have it. Looks good and keeps rain and trash from getting in. Fork Lock Cover Part#71790-05 $49.95 Page# 439 in the 2010 Catalog.
