I'm getting close. I put $200 down on her today. The new King should be in Wednesday, so Thursday pending my test ride and the Weather, and if all goes well, I will pay cash on the spot and she will be mine. They will then deliver my new bike to me and then pic up my 10 FXDC and take it back with them... wish me luck, I'll probably need it.
What year, what goodies did you get, and of course the ultimate question - what did they charge you for it minus tax, title, license crap...?
I am considering a 2010 two-tone white pearl/black ice, ABS, Security, and Wheel Option, total before the taxes - which include dealer prep for $21,589.
I think this is a tad high.... anyone have any thoughts on this?
I paid $22,864 before tax, title, license crap for 2011 Vivid Black Limited. That included the 1,000 and 5,000 service plus 2 years of winter storage. I'm in SE Wisconsin.

Congratulations! Hope everything goes as planned and the weather is good. Looking forward to seeing pictures. Good luck.
OP here.
I did buy the RK the day I test drove it, they delivered it to my home about a week later. I have a Thread on here with pics of the day it was delivered. You can look up my Threads and find the one with the pics. Thanks to all for your advice... Come on Spring.
Congrats!! I am jealous! Here's to hoping spring comes early!

Congratulations ! if you like your Road King half as much as I do mine you are in for a great time. I went from a 2005 Heritage Classic to the 2011 Road King Classic and could not be happier.
Jump in with both feet and get yourself a RK. If in 6 months you decide that you want a fairing with a radio, get a quick detatching one off of ebay. Then should you get tired of the RK & SG look, go back to ebay & get you a tour pack w/docking station. Now you have an Electra Glide. Or step it up to an Ultra with a set of lower fairings and some rear speaker pods. Oh yea, you can get those on ebay too.
So if you buy the RK and spend a little time & $$ on the forum classifieds or ebay, you could have the entire HD Touring Family less the RG. Good Luck!
In reguards to the guy who is always waiting to buy the Harley you know them very well , they say yea next year I am going to get that HD I have been waiting for ! Yea next month I will be getting that HD I have wanted from last year , I had a friend who said that for like 3 years and then last year he died?? Whats with the waiting BUY IT and stop ever having to wait for it. Remember when you die you die for a VERY LONG TIME !
Whatever you do , do not get the V-ROD you will be VERY sorry! It is not a Tourer Road King , NOT CLOSE!
