Default 2010 vs 2011

Been a while since I looked at the HD website and new bikes etc.

My understanding was that the only difference between 2011 and 2010, in general, was the colour schemes

I notice though that, for example, the Limited 2011 is $1000 less that 2010. Is this just HD cutting margins or is the 2011 model a slightly reduced spec?

The 2011 base price is for a black bike that wasn't available in 2010, the 2 tone bikes are the same price as last year.

Was told the other day at a dealer that they also made changes in the swingarm on the touring bikes. On the RK Classic, the seat changed and I think the handlebars too.

Fascinating document. Never realised the Softails had now gone CANBus. I would have thought the Ultra would be the first to use CAN. That will be a great improvement when it gets on the Ultra. Surely within the next year?

I presume they want to trial it on the less complex softail first.

VERY Interesting development though
