Sure this was asked before somewhere. Got myself a stock 2010 EGC. Only changes so far are lower fairings. Thinking of spending about $2000 on some changes. Any suggestions? For starters on the list are new windshield and riders backrest.
Congrats!! I am a simple person, as stated above, thats what I would do. I am actually running PC-V, S/E AC, and Stock Pipes., I am simple. Other than that, IMHO, the bike is great the way it is. Just ride it and enjoy it, make changes down the road once you figure out what else is needed.
Congrats! I got my ECG in June and absolutely love it. Few things to consider:
Definitely do the stage 1, new slip-ons, air filter, and some sort of tune...either the ECM download if you plan on stopping there or some kind of tuner if you plan on making more changes.
I added a tour pack luggage rack similar to what the ultras have and i have gotten a ton of use out of it.
Consider adding the mid-frame air deflectors. If there's an ultra in the showroom you can see what they look like on the bike. Between that and your stage 1 there will be a lot less heat coming up on your legs.
+1 on the backrest. I have one and it makes a big difference.
Im sure you will find a ton more, but those are just a few that come to mind. Good luck with the new addition!
Bike going in on the weekend for SE Stage II, new slip ons and air filter. Also doing backrest. Not much riding up here in the next coupe of months, so may do more stuff over the winter to keep myself busy. Thanks for the input.
