As Sharknose said - the man ratings are unanimously rated for shoulder to shoulder camping, at best! I tend to go up 1 from what I think I actually need.

I know a guy that just takes his bedroll and a tarp. Uses his scooter with the tarp to make a quick shelter and sleeps on the bedroll.

I would go with the smaller tent. I use a 2 man tent. I don't need to stand up in the tent.

We went with a Trailmaster Classic, very nice

Too late since C908 already bought a tent but I kind of like this one.
