I am leaving on a guys trip next Wednesday that will include tent camping. I have looked at a lot of tents online and at Amazon, and am more confused than when I started. I want to buy a 1-2 person tent that is very compact and will easily fit in my saddlebag or top box - and most importantly is easy to set up. It does not need to protect against cold weather - only rain.
What are you using? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If size (meaning compact) is your most important feature, then I would recommend that you look into a parachute hammock and rain fly combination. It doesn't pack much smaller than that.
I have an LL Bean Adventure Dome - 2 person tent. $170 +/-. The reasons I have this tent are:
1. It sets up very easy, poles clip in rather that slide through a fabric sleeve, poles are a simple cross pattern (no plastic gizmo that receives the ends of multiple poles that usually ends up cracking).
2. Tub design bottom - no seams to leak
3. Reasonably priced
Ive had mine for 20 years with no issues. Been used a least 100 times.
