A few months ago I posted about my buffeting problem on the 2010 SG and asked for suggestions. I got many good tips and suggestions and did many many google searches on the whole issue. 6'2" and I tend to ride high made a miserable ride. No half helmet past 35 mph and no shield up on full face on freeway. I wear glasses and it shook them like crazy.
So I decided to purchse me a Klock Werks Flare 8.5 inch. Installed it yesterday and it was awesome.
I noticed a big difference right away driving around town, I was very comfortable with the half helmet, I could see the dashboard, the speedometer, hear music clear. So then I decided to take the big test, I took it on the freeway. Same thing! I couldnt beleive the difference, only noticed some slight issues at 80 mph. I now get air hitting my face, but its clean air. Not like being in a blender. It was amazing how I could not hear the engine when I couldnt before, only whistling and air whooshing around.
LMAO only downfall is I also can hear the fiance on the back chit chatting with me. First stop light she mentioned how she can now talk to me on the ride!
I wanted to thank everyone for their help and advice.
I'm 6'1" and also have the 8.5 KW with very little if any buffeting and it has the additional benefit of added down force at highway speeds for increased stability. This is one great windshield that does what KW claimes it will.
