That's what the shop manager at two different dealers have told me too. The price I am being told is not bad considering, $3500.00, but something tells me it's going to cost more than that plus tax......
But, is it the best way? Just one thought... I read that Harley has raised crankshaft runout to .004" recently. Not sure I like that. I may need to rebuild mine before I am no longer able to ride. I'll have the crank welded, trued, and balanced before I accept .004" rounout...
When I was on a tour of the Juneau Ave plant they mentioned that all reman. engines are bone stock. If you have cams and such it will all have to be reinstalled.

They told me that too. As far as I know mine is stock but I got it used so I am not 100% sure but from what I see on it I think that it is totally stock.
Can anyone tell me if a re manufactured motor can be got for a 103" 2006 SE ultra? The P & A catalog isn't to clear on that. Also, I believe the warranty on a crate 103" is only 90 days like any other accessories out of the catalog. Any feed back is appreciated. Thanks...
just a suggestion, but, check out T-Man Performance at tmanperformance.com. every bike i build from now on will have his parts. instead of dumping 3500 on a new STOCK evo, T-Man does a complete bottom end service, and can trade you out your set of stock heads for something with a little more flow to them, and cut your jugs, etc.....there are probably many other companies like his, but, i found him in NC, about 60 miles from my house. so it is convenient for me, and he is setting records with his motors in Bonneville..... very reputable place.
check him out, cant hurt, just a few minutes on the internet machine..... and i would imagine, as long as you didnt go crazy with the HP numbers, you would have spent alot less that 3500, and have some extra yank to your scoot.
ride safe, cause they are all trying to kill you,
