Default help stranded

Buddies 2010 EGC wont start and the security lights flash. Cannot get past that. Tried manual security override will not allow entry. Need some ideas as we are stuck. Basically all buttons work but start switch.

How about pulling off the right side cover and pulling the main fuse and leaving it out for a few minutes and then putting in back in? Would that do anything?

Bet the battery in the FOB is dead and somehow the manual code is wrong. Maybe he thinks he knows the code but could be wrong? Or maybe it was set wrong? Get a new FOB battery

FOB battery. He doesn't remember his code. Next time he needs to make it something he can remember. This is a lesson for me because I have no idea what mine is!

Made it home so I can type a little more now. The issue really was that the start switch wouldn't work at all and the security lights would just flash. We could not get the bike into the mode where you can enter the manual security mode Not sure why - maybe we didn't push the flasher in fast enough or something. It was just odd... Anyway, desperate times call for desperate measure so after pulling the maxi fuse and the starter fuse we decided to try the old key fob battery switchover trick. Bike fired right up!

Note to self - keep a spare battery in saddlebag...

Check the starter bolts. Make sure they are tight. It seems to have been a recurring problem in '07 - and was on mine, demonstrating the exact same symptoms - maybe on your '10 there is a similar problem.

Glad it was the easy solution!

When you tried for the manual entry, did you have the key in the on mode? or the Accesory mode?
