Toss the stock exhaust in a dumpster! Get a sweet set of duals and a PCIII...be overwhelmed by how much better your bike looks, performs...and sounds.

Get whatever pipes you like. You bike can be tuned with a PCIII, DFO, SERT, or FuelPak to run properly. Some will argue that one tuner is better than the others. Personally, I use a DFO. I've put on and tuned more than one with good results.

I've got Vance&Hines oval slip-ons on my RKC. Been running them for a bout a week with no other changes (a/c,SERT, etc.) The bike has been running ok but still lean from the factory. I went with the slip ons with the intent of adding dresser duals later in the year. I'm adding the SE a/c tonight and the SERT & dyno tomorrow. This combination works for me... I like the sound of the ovals.
Before you make a choice, I would suggest you make a couple trips to the local hang-out and do some research. Listen to other bikes with different exhaust combinations before you decide what to put on your bike. Most the guys I know wouold be happy to fire up their bikes for you.. they are all proud of their rides.

Bounty Hunter nailed it.Go with true duels if you want real power and good sound. If you ride two up,your passenger will love you for running duels because you'll take the heat away from her right leg by getting rid of that dammed cross over.Myself,I have Rineharts and love them.As far as tuners,I like the SERT because it will work with future engine mods.

Well said.

I have to agree, it's very simple to install and tune. It made a very noticeable difference in the performance on my RK.

There are a ton of different looks and sounds out there. My advice to you would be to go to the local bike night in your area and look and listen. Personally, I like the mellow sound of the Samson Oval Rolled Thunder. They are a slip on that can be put right on your stock header pipes. You will need to have the dealer do a download on the ECM but no big deal and your bike will run just fine. Later, if you want, you can add the true dual header pipes and still use your slip on Samsons (or whatever you finally decide on). And then later, if you want a PCIII or a SERT or whatever, add it to the mix. You don't have to do it all at once if you don't want to. In my opinion, our cruisers are just that, cruisers and not 1/4 mile machines.

I did eventually do a 95" kit on mine so I could get the extra power to pull my trailer on our weekend trips. Do a little at a time while your trying to figure out which way your obsession is going to take you.

Just my .02 cents.
