Cleaning RG fairing question

the dealer generally cleans a bike when you take it in for service...why do anything more?

Don't know about you but I do all my owen service on the bike.

I agree with that! Can't stand the thought of my dealer servicing my bike.

Assuming you're talking about the inner fairing...if you use anything chemical, test it on an inconspicuous spot first. That flat black finish will come off.

My last one would have been pretty dirty, 80,000 and never dealer serviced, except for having to do warranty work at 12,000 miles and again at 30,000 miles.

Besides all the above suggestions,its a good idea to cover the inner fairing when parked in the sun.The black plastic will fade in time.
