they keep my stock 96 + $4650 complete except for Heavy breather and exhaust, installed, tuned. Capitol HD did me right on the whole package.
MSRP on the bike, 2k instore credit for parts. used that money to pay for the D&D bosszilla, heavy breather, and rider & passenger backrests and mounts. 4650 for the motor installed. this was the kit not the crate so they even gave me a set of Arlen Ness billet rocker box covers ($700). I dont see how I could do any better.
Congrats! You and the dealer both got a great deal. Getting in-store parts credit is an excellent add-on to any bike deal. You get parts that would have run you 2k, but the dealer only spent maybe half of that selling them to you. WIN-WIN!!!
If only someone could find a way for cameras to do that awesome Second paint justice in your pics so you can stop hearing "nice red bike," LOL!
I'd pay for shipping if you'd like me to try it out till you thaw out up there...I'll even keep her real clean...lol.
Just keep repeating...global warming, global warming...
about mid Feb I'll need a vacation so if you want you can pay to ship me and the bike down for a week or so, put me up at your place and we can break her in.
With the kit, I am assuming they reuse your original cases? Did you change the intake system to a larger one?
Cool ride.
Not original cases. They used the SE cases that are already bored to accept the 4.060 cylinders, upgraded bearings, piston skirt oilers etc. That way they have a complete 96 to do what they want with (they keep the stock as part of the deal). Intake is the 58mm tb and se race injectors and I'm using the Heavy Breather intake
