2005 'Ultra Problems
I was going to buy an 07 Ultra but with all the talk of trannys heat, etc. I'm pulling back and may have a good deal on an 05 with under 3000miles on it.
Did the 05's have any problems that I should know about or look for?
I'll get a test ride. It was a trade in for a car...dealer knows nothing about bikes.

I have an 05' and have had only had two problems, the fork lock would not lock properly. They fixed it under warranty. The other problem is the horn, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnât. I have taken it back and they said that simply replacing it would not help due to the next horn doing the same thing. I was told it is the humidity her in Florida.
I took the bike to Sturgis and back with no problems, it ran and pulled strong. I have not really done anything to it.

No proplems with oil consumption on my '05: just had the front rotors replaced because of warpage. I have almost 17,000 on it and it still rus good.

haven't had any problems with my 05 Ultra. I have 15K miles and its running great. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Good luck, ride safe.

9300 miles on my 05 no problems at all, well it does need a new rear tire, and there seems to be a problem with the V&H duals, well the problem is they are still in the box, i will be fixing that this weekend.
