Default Inner Fairing Issue

I purchased a used FLHX inner fairing to replace the stock fairing on my Ultra. The previous owner overtightened one of the speaker bolts from the rear of the fairing, pushing the plastic out (see attached photo). Any suggestions on how to repair this before I have it painted? Sand? Heat and push back in?

It's hard to tell by the picture how far out it's pushed. I would try a heat gun, plastic has pretty good memory..if your painting it you can do some minor cosmetic repairs before you refinish it.

I've seen my body man friend do some amazing things to plastic with a heat gun and a wooden paint stick.
