Anyhow, as far as the build goes, have you given any thought to the lower end? IE crank or timkens for the crank and who are you considering for headwork?
I am undecided on the crank. Including the work on the heads, the most realistic outcome is the low 120 ft/lb range for TQ. An over optimistic expectation is the high 120s with stage 2 work on the heads. Again, that is probably a little optimistic.

This might be right on the edge of what the stock crank can perform. I like to get on it every once in awhile, but most of my riding is pretty moderate. I guess I need more input from the forum.

Dave, let me know how you like those 5-6s. I think that cam is going to be a wild man.

I.M.O. if your anywhere close to the 120 mark, I would consider the crank, I.M.O., and good luck with the build, I'll subscribe as well.

Sigh...I'm gonna have to get a second job to pay for these mods. But in the meantime...I'm watching.

I made a decision not to upgrade the crank on this build. After speaking with a couple of vendors on the subject the consensus is crank work is unneeded for this kind of build. Is crank work good insurance? Yes. Is it insurance you might need to use? Well, that's a judgment call. Like most here I'm pretty obsessive about my ride and my projects. Let's say I won't lose any sleep on this decision.

My tear down is complete and everything is getting shipped to the respective vendors for work tomorrow morning.

Update: I went with Fuel Moto's 107 kit and Big Boyz head porting. Based on my goals and budget I think this combo is excellent for this project. In my write-up, I will have some editorial on the selections.

Jamie shipped my parts yesterday and it will probably be a couple weeks for the heads to come back. In the mean time, I will continue to polish the write-up with what has been done so far.
