Default Goggles

As I age, I find that I need to wear my glasses while riding. Can anyone recommend goggles that will fit over glasses? Not a big deal in the winter, as I'll wear a full face lid, but come springtime...

Ive been blessed with perfect eyes, My lil Bro, not so. Before he had laser treatments. He had his eye doctor make a set of inserts that fit inside of goggles. Just like the Army uses in protective masks.

Get prescription goggles. I use Wiley X (http://www.wileyx.com/EcommSuite/Pro...esCode=GOGGLES). They're comfy and durable.

The dealer has some pretty nice one's for about $40, guarddog is the brand if I'm not mistaken. They have the tinted lens or clear, or get the combo with both clear and tinted. I bought one of each instead of changing lenses all the time. One thing to watch is the size of your glasses, my lenses are about 2" long and 1" high and fit perfect in the goggles. There is a foam cushion around the goggles to help keep out dirt and water, head band is approx. 1" wide.

I have never needed goggles over my script. glasses. I buy my script glasses a little larger and with transiton lens. Same with my wife. They also make sunglasse that fit over your glasses to protect more if need be. If you don't use a shield, maybe you need more.

I wear my regular glasses without goggles or wrap around prescription Oakleys. I think I will get new glasses that fit more like sunglasses and that should work fine.

Been in the business for almost 30 years now and I've yet to find any "fit-over" goggles that don't look totally dorky. You also have to be very careful that they don't touch against the front of your glasses as even a light touch will scratch your lenses. Rx sunglasses such as those made by Wiley-X and others are the way to go. There is an extensive thread on this: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ght=sunglasses

I don't wear goggles (with the elastic strap) but wear sunglasses over my prescription glasses. I have bought them from a vendor at a motorcycle swap meet and from a local leather / bike shop. The two Harley dealers nearby do not have sunglasses that I can wear over prescription glasses. The leather / bike shop has them in clear, amber and smoked lenses. And they are inexpensive. I was concerned that they may not wear / fit well at high speed....but I wear a half helmet and have no problem when riding at 75 mph.
