Just curious about install location of Dakota Digital Antenna.It appears its 12v powered and needs to be hooked up to a power source. If mounted on fairing you would need a quick disconnect of some sort to remove the fairing.Any pictures or comments would be appreciated.

 

Don't have a picture of mine without taking things apart, but it is mounted under the fairing kind of above the headlight. Splice into a switched hot wire, ie, wire to cigarette lighter, and put in a slip coupling. This will let you disconnect to remove the fairing. You don't have to use the cig. lighter wire, just any wire that is only hot when the ignition is on will work. If you have a test light, you can probably find such a wire that is not even in use. I think that is how mine is done. Had it done at the dealer before I picked the bike up, so I'm not sure.
