looking for a lttle help, never had the outer fairing off a roadglideoff, Im installing a dakota digital antenna and could use a few pointers , also it says to use a12v power source , does anyone have a tip were to hook this wire up, COME ON DAWG OR PHILM ON COUNTING ON YOU.
Here is the Tune Trapper I installed in my fairing. It doesn't require power. If I were you, i would hook into the lighter power wire with a double spade connector.
A couple pointers about the fairing.
1. Cover your fender
2. Remove the blinkers and the 6 screws holding the fairing.
3. When you go back on, remove the headlight using the green connectors. it will make hooking it back onto the hooks MUCH easier.
PM me if you need more help. I've had mine off several times.
When you pull the headlight wires, slide your hand up those wires a few inches. Theres a power source right there. You'll need to add a spade to the antenna wire, then plug it in.
I use the cigarett lighter lead as a power source. I just feel more comfortable with that as its not on a circut that will kill anything vital on your bike if a problem happened.
