Before I send the $300-$400 for the HD helmet headset arrangement for both passenger and rider; I would like to review other riders choices or alternatives for same.
I do not take a cell phone when travelling.
My bike; ('06 FLHTCUSE), is equipped with a Garmin 660 GPS.
I do like the HD feature that allows both rider and passenger to listen to the "on board" music through the headsets rather than the speakers.
I am NOT a techgeek; so please provide details and MFR part numbers if you choose to make a recommendation - recommended product prices would also help.

I have the same CVO as you and we use the HD Boom Audio Music and Communications Headset (PN-77117-10). We have them setup on 3/4 helmets and they work really good. Sorry I can't give input on other manufactures, but I can say the HD setup works pretty good.
I have not used these but have been checking them out on eBay they look pretty good I don't wear a helmet much and kike the fact that you can get a set for that it is an option price is right
The H-D headsets suck. Spend the extra dough on J&M or Edsets. The Edsets stuff is nice in that you can plug your iPod directly into the headset, so you don't have to run through the bike if you're riding solo.
You could also buy IMC Moto headsets. They manufacture the new ones from Harley. Sound good and wont kill your pocket book. You can order directly from them or from Sierra Electronics ( a little cheaper when they have sales).
For $25 each you can get an adapter that converts the 7 pin jack into two 1/8" stereo jacks. You can use either earbuds alone for listening to tunes or a computer headset for full intercom/CB use. Check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3AMESELX%3AIT
I bought the HD headsets and really like them. I had headsets from Autocom on my ST1100 and the HDs are better. I can use my Autocom headsets on the ElectroGlide and I can tell a difference...the HDs have better tone quality.
