Default Spark plugs?

I have a 2005, EG Classic. Should I use the Harley plugs or can I use some other plugs? What about plugs like splitfires?
I see the Triple Platinum Performance Spark Plug from Harley are basiclly the same as the splitfires...
What plugs do you use?

The original plugs in my FI bike lasted about 6500 miles and I got a miss. I replaced with the same. Same results. I replaced them with HD platinums. I ran those for about 30k. I swapped them last summer after doing some engine mods because I wanted to monitor a new set of plugs. They were still running fine.

Tried all the HD plugs. I agree with bountyhunter - the HD "gold" plugs are the best. Also, like he said, change like every 10K or once/year.

There is no difference between this motor and the one in your car except there are less cylinders. Change them when they need it, as all these bikes run different. Some are lean, some are rich. Monitor your plugs and change them as needed. Upgrading the plug to a better plug will never hurt. Think about the ignition too. Stock motors do not need high performance ignitions....

Good luck!
