I am also interested in that model year and have located an 07 ultra w/15k miles on it that I am thinking about buying. Is the 07 a model year that I just need to avoid? If not, Is there anything that can be inspected that would indicate a problem? Are the engines that were produced later in the 07 year any better? Thanks, Suey
Lots of folks seem to want to bash the '07 model year but I am unaware of any significant improvements to the motor from '07 through current. I love my '07 and I rarely see a bike that tempts me to trade.

Choice of colors is bad to say the least.Who chooses them?I think I remember the Harley website saying white would be avaliable later in the year though.
i sold my 07 ultra and looking to buy a new ultra but i dont like the colors on the new ones..i really miss my white gold pearl 07 and woulod rather have an 07 than a new one...because of the color.
Why did you sell your '07? Since the you don't like the new one that you intend to replace it with, and you did like the one you had, why would you do that? Was there some problem with your '07 that influenced your decision to sell?
My '07 Ultra is early year as well with 39K miles on it. Still going strong. Stage one, PCIII, Free flowing slip ons, Baisely oil pressure spring. I cut the oil filter open every other oil change, no problems found so far. As I understand it, the crank runout "problem" is an issue if you are going to change over to a gear drive cam setup. Otherwise it's a none issue.
07 Ultra with 30,000+ miles, runs great and never a hic-up. Love mine and have no intentions of changing. Only routine maintenance and Power Commander since new.
