i sold my 07 ultra and looking to buy a new ultra but i dont like the colors on the new ones..i really miss my white gold pearl 07 and woulod rather have an 07 than a new one...because of the color.my dealer told me that i should stay away from a 07 that the engines on those models were junk??something about a crank bearing or something.anyways if i could get a new 2011 ultra with white gold pearl i would buy it.what do you guys think?

I think the dealer didn't have an 07 in stock to sell you.

07 motors are notorious for having crank runout problems. The first year for the 96 inch motor, and the moco was still working out the bugs. I've got something over 30K on mine without any problems yet, but I will not be surprised if I wind up rebuilding my bottom end before I put another 30K on it.

if the dealer did have a white gold pearl 07 do you think he'd bring it to your attention that they're junk because of some potential bottom end problems. nope, he'd tell you that it's a wonderful bike and one of the best years of harley to own. keep looking, you'll find one that's just right for you. i know that middle year they usually bring out more colors. find the white gold pearl one you like it's out there somewhere.

I am also interested in that model year and have located an 07 ultra w/15k miles on it that I am thinking about buying. Is the 07 a model year that I just need to avoid? If not, Is there anything that can be inspected that would indicate a problem? Are the engines that were produced later in the 07 year any better? Thanks, Suey

My '07 has 40K and runs just fine. Normal engine noises, nothing funny, except the usual tranny whine - the motor is quiet and smooth. I wonder if the people having crank runout issues are pushing the motor with mods and revving the crap out of it.
