I forgot to mention I also run mine with the insert removed. I did put it in for a test run and it really quiets things down , but I really like the rumble with the insert out. Nice thing is my insert is in the saddle bag and if I feel like the noise were to get to me or the wife its a matter of seconds and its in and now all would be quiet.
I was just cleaning my bike yesterday and noticed the forward leading outside edge of my monster ovals on both sides are badly scraped and dented. I thought it was my floorboards hitting after I fitted the extenders. Does anyone know if the Jackpots sound the same as the ovals. Would be better if the Jackpots were quieter with the silent baffle compared to the ovals.
I can't address that by personal experience but I did ask Jamie and Keith at Fuel moto if I would be better off with the V&H Ovals as opposed to their Jackpots. They told me the Ovals were a bit quieter than the standard JPs without the quiet baffle. That is what made me go with the quiet baffle.
