Exclamation Ultra Fork oil change

just found out that the MOCO changed the specs on 07 touring from 20k to 50k for fork oil!! is it worth the money to have it done at 20k? dealer wants 450 US for 20,000 service and fork oil is not included... any opinions>>

Bush I cannot answer your question but are you saying that Harley is now recommending changing the fork oil at 50,000 instead of 20,000. First I heard. I to have a 2007 ultra, Black Cherry, Pearl. thanks griffy

I changed mine with 10,000 miles (did it myself) and the fork oil looked nasty. The MoCo may have had something (additive) in there that make it look so dirty, I don't know!

I was glad I changed mine out.

IMO-I say change yours out.....

My 04' service manual for touring models states change at 50,000 miles. It requires a good bit of disassembly to change it. That's the main reason I have not did it yet..

Changed mine on a '05 Ultra with the cartridge at 20,000 miles. Pain in the butt. The oil looked gunky. I pretty sure your '07 doesn't have the cartridge and a lot easier to do.

CHANGE IT!!! No matter what you replace it with you will be amazed. Not that hard if you use the vacuum pump method to replace it with.
