Default Where does this line go?

Just installed an amp and in taking things apart, I can't figure out where this line goes.

It's a long rubber tube that is sticking out fr between the battery and frame. it's about 1/4" in diameter. Any ideas??

Sounds to me like it either your breather tube for your battery or the air vent or overflow for your gas tank.

Jeff, can you send a picture? If I had to guess I would piggy back what Nute stated.

if it comes from under your dash console on the tank it is the tank vent...if it comes out under the battery it is the battery vent. Pull it a little bit and follow thew movement.

Removed tank console. Nothing out of place there. Is it a big deal if it's to the battery and I don't reinstall?

If it is the battery vent hose, you have an old or non-oem battery. The new HD batteries are sealed. It is there so if a non-sealed battery boils out acid, it goes to the ground, not all over your bike.

The tank vent hose goes on the dash console itself. Flip the console over and you will see a place to put a hose near the gas filler hole. If the hose is not on there, put one end of the hose there and route the other end thru the left side so that gas overflow goes to the ground and not all over the bike. I think mine comes out just behind the derby cover.
