[quote=cromagnon;7753685]Mid-March here in Richmond ... you should have taken last Saturday. Yeah, it was covered in salt but I was able to wash it on Monday
Crom,
Yeah, that would of worked for me, but I was coming back from Florida due to family health issues. I thought I would be back to enjoy that nice day we had in town. I didn't get home till dark and still saw tons of bikes out.
71 Days to Spring (DTS) March 20th. I always start counting down when Christmas is over. It actually usually works out for me in my area. Started count downs back when I was in the service overseas. Gotta love the USA.
It can't end soon enough! Thought about going out this past week (it got up to 39) but didn't want to bother cleaning salt off the bike. We had about 2" of snow yesterday & now we have another storm forecasted for Tuesday...the future looks grim, for riding.
At least we have a motorcycle show to go to this weekend, in NJ. Maybe I'll find a set of Yaffe Monkey bars there, if not they'll be on order Monday!
We just got the last of the ice and snow melted from the last cold snap, and sounds like it's about to return. All predictions were for a long, cold winter, and it's sure looking that way.
I'm ready too. It got up to 57 on new years eve and rained on new years day. Since all the rain washed the salt off the roads I got out on the 2nd but by then the temps dropped to 25. Now it is 13 and salt/brine all over the roads
