Default EZ Brake

I've checked the archives and found some information and commentary on the EZ Brake. My bike is an '06 Road King Classic. Not crazy about the stock rear brake pedal setup. Two questions for anyone that has installed and is using the EZ Brake:

1) How much does it move the pedal forward and downward compared to the stock setup?

2) Looking in the Harley Service manual it says to remove the rear master cylinder assembly from the bike and drive the clevis pin out with a drift while the assembly is in a vise. Is this really necessary? Anyone had any luck getting the clevis pin out with the master cylinder still on the bike?

Thanks in advance for any information - Ted.

I have the Kuryakyn Extended pedal. Lower with much better angle than stock, show quality chrome, grease fitting, simple install and fair price. What more could you possibly want?

Check Kuryakyn website for dimensions. Easy install, did not have to remove master cylinder. Small cotter pin was a bit*h to put back in cause when you remove it you bends...had to go buy a new pin...made it easy.

I too have the EZ brake by Kuryakyn on my 07 SG. They make two styles. A regular extended and the EZ style.

It is a vast improvement over the stock pedal. I don't know if it is better than their other extended pedal but I sure like the EZ.

Another company also makes them under EZ.

I also bought the extended shift lever from Kuryakyn and that was a big help. It moved the shifter way out and really made it easier to find neutral on my bike. East Coast performance was cheaper than bying direct from kyryakyn

It takes about 10 minutes to instal and it feels and works like it should. WTF, why didn't the Motor Company put something like this on from the factory.
I luv mine.
It's coming with me when I sell this bike.

The E-Z Brake isn't a Kuryakyn product. They carry it, but look around for a better price. I went with one of Kuryakyn's girder style extended brake pedal and hate the angle of the pedal. It's bent too far forward and my boot only catches the bottom edge of my Ness brake pedal pad. Not a problem, unless my foot is wet from rain. Also, the Kuryakyn lever was lot thinker than stock, so I had to do some creative pounding and metal work to get the Ness pedal pad on it. Let's just say that it is NEVER coming off, unless I cut it off.
