Go to NAPA or your local auto parts/electrical supply store and grab some automotive (flexible) wire, I used 16ga for my install, they'll sell you enough for an entire project for about $3-5. I wired up my own harness from scratch for my complete fairing install on a RKC. It's really not rocket science and you'll be amazed how easy the install can be. Hell, you're already most of the way there having the batwing bike to start with.
This takes up the entire Tour Pak!! You can't use it for long rides. I can't understand why you want the sound so loud. What you can't hear it? I know, you just Bar Hop or just have it sitting, and don't really ride.
The only reason that I can think of that you want the radio to have so much volume is not so you can hear it. It is so you can bother everyone else.
I figure that you have straight pipes too?
We are talking about wire , not how many pairs of bloomers your ol' lady takes on road trips !! Try to follow along and stay on topic !!
How in God's name do all those guys take road trips that don't have tour packs ???? Makes ya wonder, don't it ???
We should start a thread called, " What's in your tourpack ? ", and everyone that doesn't have what UltraRider has in his, ( 3 extra Star Trek Geek Force Uniforms ), can get the 'personal attacks' !! You in ??
I use coat hangers on most of my home theater installs !! I'm glad that home theater runs off of electric, that's the secret !!
Not sure where your comments are going but my point is that it's all in the ear, don't go by what you read. Price is not the deciding factor, I have always gone with high strand count when wiring speakers.

Do you travel with your wife/significant other? Then you'll know. Actually, since I made my bike into a Ultra-like specimen, I find the TP is smaller than my Iron Bags. There really isn't a whole lotta room on a bike for clothes, and etc. I get one saddlebag, and she gets the rest.
If you can manage to travel 2-up, with a gal, and do it with just the bags, you're a better man than most. Clue me in, will you please?
I was more concerned about the power and grounding wires, ( that carry all the current), as opposed to the speaker wire.
It is AMAZING how much they get for the HIGH DOLLAR install kits though !!
A run through at a hi-end car audio shop makes you wonder if these guys have more $$ in the wire than the system.
In my home theater, I just bought a 500 ' spool of some decent copper wire. More concerned about the connection between components, than the speaker wire. Although probably not much difference in that either.
I'm sure the 'professional guys' that do this every day, like Wayne, John, FireCap, etc, have a much better understanding of the effects of this than most.

ONLY ride 2 up. Travel light. If going somewhere like Laughlin River Run, get out the Tea Bag. It fits perfectly on the tour pack's luggage rack.
Most of our rides are 1 dayers, so it's usually not an issue.
I truly understand that some guys need to have a TON of room, because they really get a lot of long hauls in. Maybe in a few years, I will have that luxury,.............I sure hope so. As for now, I'm lucky to get one L-O-N-G ride a year in. 'm still young though !
Thank goodness we all like different things !! Harley would go broke if we all liked and rode black sportsters !!
NOW,..................back to your reguilarly scheduled thread about speaker wires !!
Got ya Glacier, and you are very correct on the on the High Dollar install kits. The gimmicks that are advertised and bought into in the audio world is ridiculous, times I wish I would have had a EE degree instead of a ME I could have retired by now.
