I saw that the '11 Road Kings have their license plate below the brake light with a really nice looking set up. Have any Electra-Glide owners tried using this on their bike so that they didn't have their plate above the brake light when they remove their tour pak?
I have the RK signal bar on my 09 Classic. It was an easy install and nice fit.The only issue is the little rubber bumper thingy on the bottom of the plate bracket rests on the chrome on the upper portion of or fender tip light, and the signal bar is an 1 1/2"narrower than the original bar,but its not noticable. There is a bright white LED to light up the tag.
I'm very happy with the look,it cleans up the rearend nicely.
mines on my 2006 roadglide, but same rear end as the e-glides. I swapped the turnsignal bar on my RG to one from a streetglide, then got a Kuryakyn curved license plate holder made for the streetglide. I love my setup.
When you remove your tour pac the fender strut covers are going to have slots in them.I installed the RK/SG non-slotted covers, and the antenna mounting bracket from the QD kit.
