Lowering the front-what oil weight ?

I AM thinking of lowering my front with new Progressive Springs and I do not know what weight oil should I put in (HD mechanics will do it ). With the front being 1" lower should it be heavier or lighter oil ? What will it do if you use either ? I see that Progressive makes the front kit for HD is that so ? I have a 2010 Ultra with Progressives 940 on the rear .Thanks for the Help.

In my expierience a lighter oil works better with stiffer/heavier springs.

No one has done lowering springs on the front of an Ultra? Does anyone else no off what kind of weight in oil was used on the new front springs ?

If you have a good mechanic at your dealer, check with them. Just had my 04egc lowered using harley lowering kit and they recomended the sceaming eagle oil(heavier). A little stiff until oil warms up a bit then its a great feel after that, no nose dive on hard stop, nice and firm in the corners.
