i havent seen any CFRs for $1000.00 i payed $600.00 from www.bikersimage.com . i know yaffe sells his for a $1000.00 +. and yes at one time i did want to sell them not any more love the sound of these muffs. like someone stated earlier they have a sound of there own and made in the good ol US of A.
I see that you gave them a chance, thought you might change your mind;-)
shore did you ever see real CFR's ? What are there welds like? I mean these are along the whole bottom and it is almost like a paper crease ? I would hope that the originals are way better then these, Good thing is you can not see them because the weld faces the ground. Well they sound just like the CFR"s ,

Like I said, I was unhappy when I 1st saw them. I went ahead and put them on to hear and they look good. You can't even see the imperfections without getting on top of them.
When the new ones *** out,I'll buy them!
Anyone that is unsure about the real-deal CFR's will have a chance to buy a used set when I take them off my bike, and replace w/the new!
That was one of the significant factors in me moving to the glide world so that I could have tunes.
It definately accentuates the ride for me, and if the exhaust over powered the tunes all the time, it would get old real fast.
I still like the rineharts and a lot of folks think they're still too loud, so I can't imagine how the loud the CFR's or the knock offs would be..
I'm thinkin' "great sound" but would probably be too loud for me..
What say you roadgliderick?
